The Minister of Defense visited the flooded areas of Maha Sarakham Province to encourage the people.

Maha Sarakham, Mr. Sutin Khlangsaeng, Minister of Defense, visited the area to provide encouragement to people affected by the collapse of Huai Chiang Kham Reservoir in Borabue District and Wapi Pathum District, Maha Sarakham Province. Mr. Sutin Khlangsaeng said that today he traveled to the area to monitor the situation after receiving the report. Therefore, he went to the area to see the immediate solution to repair the reservoir and traveled to give encouragement to the people in the affected areas. From the information that he has learned at this time, it is helping the people from many related parties. For the repairs, the Royal Irrigation Department has provided information that it will be done as quickly and safely as possible, and that approximately 50% of the reservoir will be available for use during the dry season. However, the concern is that this is the beginning of the rainy season, and this year it is predicted that there will be heavy rain throughout the year. They have also given encouragem ent to military officers and officials in the area in repairing the reservoir. In this regard, the mission of Mr. Sutin Khlangsaeng, Minister of Defence, traveled to the area to deliver relief bags to people in 5 locations in Borabue District and Wapi Pathum District. However, from the incident of Huai Chiang Kham reservoir collapse, Borabue District, Maha Sarakham Province has been affected in 2 districts, 11 sub-districts, 65 villages, 32 houses were affected, 21 roads were affected, approximately 22,927 rai of agricultural land was affected, and the governor of Maha Sarakham Province is preparing to declare a disaster zone.
