Bangkok, The Prime Minister called the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the BOI to discuss accelerating exports to Saudi Arabia. He assigned the task of matching agricultural business sectors that are ready with the products they need as soon as possible. He ordered an increase in commercial diplomats and responsible officers from the Office of Agricultural Economics. Reporters reported that after the cabinet meeting today (July 16), Prime Minister Settha Thavisin invited ministers and several agencies to meet and discuss, such as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, Mr. Phumtham Vejjayachai, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Pimpattra Vichaikul, Minister of Industry, Lt. Col. Thammanat Prompow, Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Dr. Prommin Lertsuridej, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister, ML Chayothit Kridakorn, Advisor to the Prime Minister and Thai Trade Representative, and Mr. Narit Therdsteerasakdi, Secretary-General of the Board of Investment (BOI), to follow up on the negotiations on the export of Thai agricultural products to Saudi Arabia. The Prime Minister stated that he had held a follow-up meeting on the negotiations on the export of Thai agricultural products to Saudi Arabia. He invited the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the BOI to discuss and integrate from upstream to downstream, and follow up on the export of important agricultural products and Thai products. Saudi Arabia is ready to open the market for cows, goats, plants, and halal food to Thai products, including allowing Thailand to invest in opening hospitals. Therefore, he assigned each ministry to work together to match business sectors that are ready for agricultural products and products that the Saudi market needs as soon as possible.
