Three police officers at Phuket police station were ordered out of office in Phuket for negligence of duties following the raid of a gambling den by soldiers last week.
The three officers are Pol Col Kamol Osiri, chief of Phuket police station, his deputy Pol Lt Col Chow Pomna, and chief investigator Pol Lt Col Nat Phromthep.
They were assigned to inactive positions at the Royal Thai Police Operation Centre yesterday.
In the transfer order signed by Phuket Provincial Police commander Pol Maj Gen Thirapol Thiocharien, they were charged for negligence of duties after failing to comply with the Government's anti vice policy.
The order cited the raid of a major gambling den in Phuket last Saturday by special task force of the Region 4 Internal Security Operation Command where a large number of gamblers were arrested.
