Lopburi: Three cars crashed, injuring four people. It is believed they were distracted by looking at their mobile phones. A sedan waiting to turn into a village was rear-ended by a pickup truck following behind. Fortunately, the sedan avoided being hit by an oncoming vehicle. The pickup truck that caused the accident spun out of control and crashed into a cement mixer truck, injuring four people. It is believed the driver was distracted by his mobile phone.

According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage from a roadside shop on Highway 3017, Lopburi-Wang Muang, in Nikhom Saeng Ton Eng Subdistrict, Mueang District, Lopburi Province, captured this accident. The clip shows a cement mixer truck sliding across the road, almost crashing into the shop. The shop owner, who was greeting customers at the front of the shop, stood stunned and speechless.

Another CCTV angle shows a white sedan driving from Lopburi town and waiting to turn right into a village. A bronze pickup truck following behind rear-ended it violently, sending the sedan sliding across the lane just as a six-wheeled cement mixer truck was coming from the opposite direction. The sedan driver, still conscious, swerved to avoid the truck, narrowly avoiding a collision. The pickup truck then spun out of control and collided with the cement mixer, flipping onto its side and sliding along the road, almost crashing into a seafood stall. Footage from the cement mixer truck's camera shows the driver of the pickup truck being thrown from the impact.

Following the incident, police and the Poh Teck Tung Foundation inspected the scene. They found a cement mixer truck with Lopburi license plates overturned on its left side on the road, blocking the road in front of a seafood shop. Nearby, a pickup truck with Saraburi license plates was parked in the middle of the road with its front severely damaged from a collision. The driver of the pickup truck sustained minor facial injuries. Approximately 20 meters away, in the middle of the road, a white sedan with Saraburi license plates was found with heavy rear-end damage. A total of four people were injured and taken to Phra Narai Maharaj Hospital. Among them was a 6-year-old child who was in the back seat of the sedan and sustained a head injury.

Regarding the cause of the accident, it is believed that the pickup truck driver was distracted by his mobile phone and failed to see the sedan waiting to turn. Police will gather evidence and, once the injured parties recover, will schedule a further interview with all three parties involved before formally charging the pickup truck driver.
