Kim Do-yeong of the Kia Tigers hit for the cycle Tuesday, becoming the first player in South Korean baseball this season to collect a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game. At 20 years, nine months and 21 days old, Kim also became the second-youngest player in Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) history to hit for the cycle. Kim's was the 31st cycle in the league's 42-year history. Batting third against the NC Dinos at Gwangju-Kia Champions Field in the southwestern city of Gwangju, Kim picked up an infield single to shortstop Kim Whee-jip in the bottom of the first. In the bottom third, Kim hit a double off starter Daniel Castano. Then in the fifth, Kim smacked a triple to left-center gap. Kim completed the cycle with a two-run homer off reliever Bae Jae-whan in the bottom sixth. Kim is the second KBO player to pull off the "natural cycle," by getting a single, a double, a triple and a home run in that order. The home run was Kim's 25th of the season. He came into Tuesday's game with 29 steals, putting him on pace for a 30-30 season.
