Tono Pakin Resigns as Khon Kaen FC President Before Final Season Game

Khon kaen: Tono Pakin has announced his resignation as president of Khon Kaen FC, citing responsibility for the team's inability to achieve promotion this season.

According to Thai News Agency, Khon Kaen FC failed to secure promotion to Thai League 2 after drawing 2-2 against Roi Et PB United in their last away game. This result leaves The T-Rex finishing 3rd in the Northeast Zone and missing a spot in the Champions League.

Tono Pakin Khamwilaisak, a well-known actor, assumed the presidency of his hometown team, Khon Kaen FC, at the beginning of the season. In his farewell message, he expressed pride in the efforts of the players, staff, and fans, stating, "To all my fellow players, staff, and fans, be proud of yourselves. Everyone fought so hard and did so well. I am very proud and honored to have been your president. However, since I did not achieve my goal of leading the club to promotion to T2 within this season, I am resigning from my position as president of Khon Kaen FC."

Khon Kaen FC's season will conclude with a home match against Udon United on March 22nd at 4:00 PM.
