Surin: Over 3,900 tourists flocked to see "Ta Kwai Castle and Hill 350," praising the military for their strict security, facilitating visits, and protecting the land.
According to Thai News Agency, on April 15, 2026, the Suranaree Task Force, through the Tourist Facilitation Command Center at Ta Kwai Temple - Hill 350, summarized the daily visitor numbers during the Songkran festival from April 13-16, 2026, between 7:00 AM and 1:00 PM. The 22nd Infantry Battalion was responsible for providing assistance and facilitating visitors to the historical site in Bak Dai Subdistrict, Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province.
The atmosphere was lively, with a total of 3,903 tourists visiting Ta Kwai Castle - Noen 350. This included 1,532 men, 1,550 women, 340 boys, 466 girls, and 15 monks. A total of 926 vehicles entered and exited the area, consisting of 581 cars and 345 motorcycles.
In terms of commerce, a total of 11 vendors participated, selling a variety of goods including coffee shops, clothing stores, and local food and beverages, with a total of 36 vendors. This created a vibrant atmosphere and stimulated the local economy.
In terms of safety and public service, officers assisted a total of 58 service users. The majority, 47 individuals, were fatigued from traveling or walking long distances, and 11 individuals had illnesses such as dizziness, lightheadedness, high blood pressure, as well as cases of heatstroke and accidents. Some individuals required transport to Phanom Dong Rak Hospital for treatment.
In addition, patients with underlying medical conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, leaky heart valves, and stroke were also found to be receiving close assistance from staff.
The relevant agencies continue to emphasize the importance of publicizing guidelines for visiting historical sites to ensure safety and the preservation of historical tourist attractions for future generations.
