Uthai thani: Uthai Thani was bustling with tourists taking boat trips to spot various wild animals foraging along the Thap Sala Reservoir, which borders the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary. During the weekend, ecotourism in Uthai Thani province was bustling, especially the boat tours for wildlife viewing at Ban Wang Thong pier, Rabam subdistrict, Lan Sak district. Both Thai and foreign tourists flocked to the area in a steady stream.
According to Thai News Agency, community-run boat tours take tourists along the waterway that runs along the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, connecting to the Thap Sala Reservoir, a vital water source for various wildlife. This gives tourists the opportunity to see a diverse range of animals, including wild cattle, gaur, peacocks, wild elephants, muntjacs, deer, and many bird species, creating a truly exciting experience for visitors.
Foreign tourists have expressed their admiration, stating that their wildlife viewing trip to Uthai Thani province exceeded their expectations. Instead of seeing only birds, they encountered a large number of wild animals, both large and small. They also praised Thailand's excellent wildlife conservation efforts, noting the continued abundance of wildlife in the country.
Mr. Anuphan Sarasuwan, the headman of Rabam Subdistrict, stated that the highlight of Rabam Subdistrict is its large reservoir and its proximity to the Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This makes it easy for tourists to see wild animals, especially during the dry season when food sources in the forest are scarce. Various animal species emerge to forage along the Thap Salao Reservoir.
