Traders Under Section 7 “OR-Caltex” Affirm Their Transparency

Surat thani: Traders under Section 7, identified as "OR-Caltex," have affirmed their commitment to transparency and expressed their willingness to cooperate with the government in inspecting their fuel receipt and distribution processes. They have pledged to maintain transparency in accordance with established standards.

According to Thai News Agency, PTT Oil and Retail Public Company Limited (OR) has worked closely with relevant government agencies in inspecting its oil depots, ensuring that the management of oil adheres to standards and is verifiable. In March, inspections were conducted across all of OR's petroleum and oil depots by various government agencies, including the Department of Energy Business, the Provincial Energy Office, the Department of Special Investigation (DSI), the Excise Department, local police, and the Department of Provincial Administration. The results of these inspections concluded that oil management complied with established guidelines and standards.

The audit of OR's facilities, including the Surat Thani Petroleum Depot, covered daily oil receipt and disbursement data from March 1-31, 2026, as well as daily oil stockpiles, and compared overall oil volumes between February and March 2026. The audit confirmed that both of OR's petroleum storage facilities met standards, with receipt, disbursement, and inventory levels consistent with data reported to regulatory agencies. No evidence of hoarding or illegal activities was found.

Star Fuels Marketing Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Star Petroleum Refining Public Company Limited (SPRC) and the sole licensee for the Caltex fuel business in Thailand, announced that it continues to manage fuel storage capacity and sea transportation of fuel systematically and uninterruptedly. The operations adhere to safety, quality standards, and all relevant legal requirements at every stage.

In past inspections, the company has cooperated with government agencies, ensuring a thorough and transparent process. The audit results confirmed that the company's oil storage operations comply with established criteria and standards. Data on receiving, disbursing, and inventory levels align with information reported to regulatory agencies, with no irregularities or illegal activities identified.
