Bangkok: Traffy Fondue is being prepared to receive reports of problems faced by 45 million Thai workers. The government is preparing to use Traffy Fondue to receive reports of problems faced by 45 million Thai workers. The system will allow for immediate notification, acknowledgment, and prompt problem resolution. The launch is scheduled for early August.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant Colonel Patthadarasmi Thongslueykorn, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, revealed the progress in upgrading government services to the digital age, stating that the Ministry of Labour is accelerating the development of a complaint system via the "Traffy Fondue" platform in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI). This will provide a channel for complaints and help monitor the hardships of over 45 million Thai workers. The system is expected to be fully operational by the end of July or early August this year.
Captain Patthadarasmi stated that the government is aware of the problems faced by Thai workers, including wage inequality, unsafe working conditions, and concerns about layoffs and unemployment during volatile economic periods. Past complaint channels were often hampered by delays and difficulty in accessing information, sometimes resulting in unresolved issues and chronic hardship. This policy is designed to address these limitations and simplify the complaint process, ensuring that all worker issues are addressed quickly, transparently, and efficiently.
The Traffy Fondue system will be the primary channel for receiving labor-related complaints, including issues related to wages, welfare, working conditions, or human rights violations. Information will be sent directly to the responsible authorities without workers having to travel. Workers simply need to take photos, pinpoint their location, and specify the problem via their smartphone. The AI system will then analyze the information and send it directly to the relevant agency, eliminating redundant paperwork. Workers can also track the resolution status in real-time, ensuring that all issues are addressed and not overlooked.
The Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister emphasized that this system will not only help solve the problems of domestic workers, but the government is also preparing to expand it to cover Thai workers abroad, ensuring their safety and providing a channel for seeking assistance anytime, anywhere. The government is confident that the application of technology in this instance will strengthen the protection of Thai workers' rights, and the government is ready to listen to and resolve all problems in order to create a better quality of life for all workers.
