Bang saen: A tragic car accident claimed the lives of four family members when their vehicle lost control, hit a road sign, and overturned into a ditch during a return trip from Bang Saen. The incident occurred early in the morning when a 25-year-old man was driving his family of six on an unfamiliar road.
According to Thai News Agency, the accident happened at 4:30 AM on February 23, 2026. Bang Pakong Police Station officers, Chachoengsao rescue workers, and Bang Pakong Hospital paramedics responded to the scene. The car, a gray Honda Civic sedan with Bangkok license plates, was found overturned and severely damaged near the entrance to Soi Chan Kasem, opposite Wat Song Khlong, on the old Sukhumvit Road.
The crash resulted in the immediate deaths of four people, including a boy approximately 5-6 years old, the driver Mr. Thananan, his wife, and a baby approximately 1-2 months old. Two other passengers, an 11-year-old girl and a 3-year-old boy, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Chulalongkorn 11 Hospital for treatment.
The deceased driver's older brother, Mr. Apisit, provided information to investigators, explaining that his brother was unfamiliar with Sukhumvit Road. The road's bumpy conditions led to the car going airborne, losing control, and eventually crashing into a road sign before overturning multiple times.
