Transport Company Limited Announces ‘Go First, Return Later’ Promotion for New Year Festival

Bangkok: The Transport Company Limited (BKS) is advancing its Quick Win promotion, titled “Go First, Return Later,” offering a 20% discount on ticket prices. Mallika, the Deputy Minister of Transport, has directed BKS to roll out this initiative to enhance convenience and safety for travelers during the 2026 New Year’s holiday.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Mallika Jiraphanwanich disclosed that the Quick Win policy aims to improve public transportation services by ensuring convenience, speed, and safety. This comprehensive policy will integrate various feeder services, including wheel, rail, boat, and air transport, to guarantee seamless connections and bolster confidence in public transportation. The initiative is particularly designed to facilitate travel during the 2026 New Year’s holiday.

The implementation of the Quick Win policy involves three key components. First, a “Go First – Return Later” promotion is organized for the 2026 New Year Festival. This promotion offers a 20% discount on ticket prices for Transport Company Limited customers who book tickets online through platforms such as the E-Ticket application, the company’s website, or social booking channels like Facebook and Line. The travel period before the festival is set from December 22 to 25, 2025, with ticket booking available until November 30, 2025. The return trip is scheduled for January 6 to 8, 2026, with bookings open from December 1 to 15, 2025. The company sets conditions that the trip cannot be canceled or changed.

Second, BKS is tasked with facilitating safe and punctual travel, ensuring the quality of service delivery meets established standards. The company is instructed to make sure that all agencies supervising buses, passenger terminals, and employees adhere to safety measures. This includes thorough inspections of buses and ensuring drivers are adequately prepared. These measures aim to elevate the quality of Thailand’s public transport system, ensuring safety, convenience, and universal accessibility in alignment with government and Ministry of Transport policies.

Lastly, from December 1 to 31, 2025, a “Free Car Inspection, Safe Driving” service will be available at the Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection Center (Rangsit). This service offers a complimentary 20-item check of vehicle and motorcycle readiness, covering aspects such as brake systems, tire condition, windshield wipers, and fluid levels, to ensure safety before traveling during the New Year festival.

The Ministry of Transport underscores the paramount importance of safety. It has mandated BKS to implement all necessary measures to ensure smooth and secure travel during the 2026 New Year’s holiday, thereby helping to prevent road accidents and build trust among public transport users.
