Bang khun thian: Two construction workers lost their lives and another was seriously injured when their pickup truck collided with a power pole in the Bang Khun Thian district. The tragic accident occurred late last night opposite the entrance to Soi Thian Thale 28, involving a gray pickup truck with Kamphaeng Phet license plates.

According to Thai News Agency, the driver, identified as 31-year-old Mr. Thirawat, a pile-driving contractor, was seriously injured in the crash. Rescue teams managed to extricate him from the wreckage using specialized equipment, and he was subsequently taken to PMG Hospital for medical treatment. Tragically, his two passengers, also his employees, were found deceased inside the vehicle. One of the deceased was identified as 23-year-old Mr. Thawatchai, while the identity of the other victim remains unknown. Rescue workers had to employ hydraulic cutters to retrieve the bodies, which were then sent to Siriraj Hospital for further forensic examination.

Police from Thian Thale Police Station are currently investigating the accident. Initial reports suggest that the vehicle veered off course before crashing into the power pole, severely damaging the vehicle. Mr. Thirawat's father-in-law, who arrived at the scene, mentioned that the men were close, akin to family, and speculated that they might have been consuming alcohol together prior to the incident. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage from the vicinity to ascertain the exact cause of the accident as they proceed with legal formalities.
