Two More Thai Soldiers Killed in Battle of Hill 350

Bangkok: Two additional Thai soldiers have died in recent fighting at the Battle of Hill 350, as reported by the 2nd Army Area Facebook page. The soldiers were killed in clashes with Cambodian troops during efforts to reclaim sovereign territory. This brings the total number of casualties to 19.

According to Thai News Agency, the 2nd Army Area Facebook page detailed that the military operations are taking place in the Takwai and Hill 350 areas, with ongoing clashes. The Thai military continues to hold the area and is working to prevent further advances by the opposing side. The situation remains under investigation and assessment.

The fatalities include Sergeant Major Samroeng Klangprakon and Private Phanupat Sausa from the 3rd Infantry Battalion, 23rd Infantry Regiment. These deaths mark the 18th and 19th casualties in the conflict. A tribute posted by the Army Military Force on Facebook highlighted the soldiers’ sacrifice. Due to continued fighting, the retrieval of the soldiers’ bodies is currently not possible. The total number of soldiers who have lost their lives in this border conflict now stands at 19.
