Satun: Two ships smuggling illegal oil were intercepted, and 13,000 liters of fuel were seized. Officials from various agencies conducted a joint operation to combat tax evasion and apprehended two vessels smuggling illegal fuel. They seized 13,000 liters of diesel fuel and arrested the vessel captains for legal prosecution.

According to Thai News Agency, today at 2:00 AM, Captain Phisit Thongtha, Deputy Director of the Maritime Security Command, Satun Province, joined forces with excise officers from Satun and police from Region 9, using patrol boat T.27 to patrol and apprehend those involved in smuggling untaxed goods into the Kingdom via sea within their area of responsibility.

A suspicious vessel was detected in Khlong Bo Chet Luk, Laem Son Subdistrict, La-ngu District, Satun Province. Officers identified themselves and requested to inspect the vessel. The vessel was identified as "Sap Nawai," and the captain was identified as Mr. Hrohya, 56 years old, from Thepha District, Songkhla Province.

During the inspection, 7,000 liters of diesel fuel were found in tanks inside the vessel. Additionally, the same team of officers discovered another suspicious vessel, named Tasneem, captained by Mr. Wichan, 39 years old, from La-ngu District, Satun Province. A search of this vessel revealed 6,000 liters of diesel fuel in tanks inside. The suspects and all seized items were subsequently handed over to the Satun Area Excise Department for legal proceedings. A fine, including taxes, was imposed totaling 600,000 baht.
