Bangkok: Police from the Crime Suppression Division brought the "concubine undertaker" to the Criminal Court for remand. He continues to plead partially guilty, claiming the victim consented to the ritual. He remains silent and refuses to answer questions from the media.

According to Thai News Agency, investigators from the Crime Suppression Division have taken Mr. Sanom, also known as Undertaker Sanom, the suspect in seven cases of sexual abuse against women who came for funeral rites, into custody. He was remanded to the Criminal Court for the first time. Mr. Sanom was dressed in a cream-colored robe over a blue collared shirt and shorts, the same outfit as when he was arrested. He maintained a neutral expression when reporters attempted to question him about the case, including the sexual abuse allegations and the infant burial case. He refused to answer any questions and quickly boarded the police vehicle.

The investigating officers objected to bail during the detention phase because the case carries a high penalty and they fear the suspect may flee or tamper with evidence.

The seven charges are for separate acts committed on different occasions, including committing indecent acts against a person over 15 years of age in public, using force and violence, and using an object to penetrate another person's genitals. Investigators will oppose bail during the detention phase due to the high penalties associated with the crime and the fear that the suspect may flee or tamper with evidence. The suspect's residence also possesses crucial evidence: a large number of buried infant corpses currently under investigation by local police.

Regarding the case of the undertaker who sexually assaulted a journalist from a well-known TV channel, as well as the issue of the destruction of an infant's body, the case initially falls under the responsibility of the Wiset Chai Chan Police Station. However, the Crime Suppression Division is coordinating with the police regarding evidence. The victim can contact the Crime Suppression Division to inspect or identify any evidence that the police have seized.

While the undertaker's wife, based on evidence and the victim's testimony, confirms that she was not involved in the undertaker's wrongdoing, she is not guilty at this time.
