Bangkok: The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) is set to welcome Unique Plastic Industry Public Company Limited (UNIX) as trading begins on April 1, 2026. UNIX, a leader in green innovation within the plastic films and packaging sector, marks the first Initial Public Offering (IPO) of 2026 to be listed on the SET.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Sarawis Krairiksh, Deputy Manager and Head of Marketing at SET, expressed enthusiasm for UNIX's listing in the Industrial Products sector under the ticker symbol 'UNIX'. The capital raised from the IPO will be instrumental in enhancing UNIX's production efficiency and fortifying its financial foundation.
With over 30 years in the industry, UNIX specializes in manufacturing and distributing plastic films and packaging. Their offerings include plastic films for flexible, heavy-duty, and general industrial packaging, alongside consumer goods packaging like heat-sealable and cold-sealable bags. UNIX's products are marketed under its brands: Key Brand and Friendship Brand.
Boasting a production capacity exceeding 60,000 tons annually, UNIX is committed to advancing technologies that cater to the recycling market and align with governmental sustainability policies. In recognition of its eco-friendly initiatives, UNIX achieved Green Industry Level 5 certification from the Ministry of Industry in 2024.
Mr. Solos Yodmongkol, CEO of UNIX, expressed confidence in the listing's potential to position UNIX as a leader in the integrated plastic film and packaging industry. The IPO funds will be directed towards acquiring modern machinery, expanding production, and improving efficiency, while also settling debts to reduce financial costs and enhance liquidity.
UNIX's IPO involves a paid-up capital of 330 million baht, with shares offered at 1.89 baht each, raising a total of 340.20 million baht. The IPO price reflects a market capitalization of 1,247.40 million baht and a P/E Ratio of 8.30 times, based on the company's 2025 earnings. Beyond Securities Public Company Limited serves as the financial advisor and underwriter for the IPO.
Post-IPO, the major shareholders of UNIX include Mr. Nithat Navachartkosit with 36.36%, Ms. Kanokwan Navachartkosit with 21.82%, and Ms. Somporn Siangchin with 14.55%. The company has committed to a dividend policy of at least 40% of net profits, ensuring benefits for both the business and its shareholders.
