Bangkok:Thailand's diverse regions are celebrated for their unique local products, each holding distinct qualities tied to their geographical origins. These products, recognized as Geographical Indication (GI) items, embody the natural factors and local expertise of their respective areas, making them irreplicable elsewhere.

According to Thai News Agency, In Northern Thailand, notable GI products include Fang Honey Orange, Mae Jai Lychee, Jae Son Mineral Water, and Black Jasmine Rice. Meanwhile, the Northeastern region is known for Si Sa Ket volcanic durian, Hom Dok Hang local rice variety, Phon Yang Kham beef, and Phraewa silk.

The Central and Western regions feature items like Ban Phaeo fragrant coconut, Khao Yai pomelo, Phetchaburi Golden Banana, and Pa La U durian. In the Southern and Eastern regions, Koh Chang shrimp paste, Pak Phanang Ruby pomelo, Satun Khwan jackfruit, and Phang Nga Tipp mangosteen are prominent products.

Supporting these unique Thai products not only fosters community economic growth but also helps share local wisdom globally, creating stable and sustainable income sources for Thai farmers.
