According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security and leader of the Chartthaipattana Party, gave an interview before the no-confidence debate. He had instructed civil servants since last week that there would be a no-confidence debate on March 24-25, and issues expected to raise doubts had been prepared for all agencies. He believed that all ministers would be prepared, and the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security was fully prepared.

When asked which issues the Ministry thought would be discussed, Mr. Varawut confirmed that the ministry had prepared and estimated in advance. He dismissed concerns about pressure, stating that since he started working in the government of Prime Minister Paethongtarn Shinawatra, the Ministry has been working diligently and is ready to explain if needed.

Mr. Varawut emphasized that he would support the Prime Minister amid today’s debate, which is expected to focus on the Shinawatra family and the prime minister. He noted that this approach is reminiscent of the time when Mr. Banharn Silpa-archa faced a similar no-confidence motion. He expressed hope that the debate would remain within the framework of the proposed motion.
