“Warawut” is not worried about the dissolution of 6 coalition parties, believes that they can be explained – no one is in control

Government House, 22 Oct – “Varawut” is not worried about the dissolution of 6 coalition parties, believes each party can explain, no one dominates the party, points out that amending the constitution – amnesty is a matter for the parliament, every party can find a way out, still reiterates the position not to include Section 112 – corruption cases

Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Social Development and Human Security and leader of the Chartthaipattana Party, revealed at the coalition party last night that he talked about ways to work together. After this, there will be direct one-on-one talks and discussions on the missions of each ministry. The proposals from each ministry are delayed before reaching the Prime Minister. Therefore, talking more often will support each other’s work. He joked with the Prime Minister that it might not be like meeting the headmaster, right? The Prime Minister confirmed that it was not, but rather to work continuously and coordinate to make it faster, both in terms of govern
ment work and political work.

Admitted that the meeting discussed amnesty, but said that it was a matter for the legislative branch and the work of the House. However, the Chartthaipattana Party has a clear stance that it will not include those with cases under Section 112, excluding corruption, which has been the party’s position since the beginning. All parties will have similar approaches, but it depends on the legislative branch of the House to decide on what approach.

Mr. Warawut reiterated that the Chartthaipattana Party still sees the direction of amending the constitution as before, which is currently setting up a joint committee between MPs and Senators, with the Chartthaipattana Party sending Mr. Nikorn Chamnong, Director of the Chartthaipattana Party, to be one of the joint committee members. Each party has similar approaches, but may not agree on some parts, but he believes that when there is more discussion, there will be compromise and negotiations to reach an agreement, especially in terms of
differing opinions, but he believes that everything will go smoothly. As for the party’s approach to setting up a Constituent Assembly to amend the constitution, it must also look at the majority vote and take into account the time frame.

As for the case where the Election Commission was asked to consider dissolving the Pheu Thai Party and the six former coalition parties, which the registrar of political parties has set up a fact-finding committee, the Chartthaipattana Party is not concerned because it is the petitioner’s right. However, it is up to the Election Commission to make a decision. The Chartthaipattana Party believes that there is nothing unusual and will provide an explanation when inquiries are made. Therefore, there is no need to worry.

Mr. Warawut also confirmed that the Chartthaipattana Party definitely has no issues of influence. While he himself talked within the party, he could not influence anyone, even the party leader, because the Chartthaipattana Party has elders and new generations
who must talk to each other like relatives, but no one can influence them.

As for those who think that dissolving a party is too easy, Mr. Varawut believes that when there are examples, it is a trigger for some groups to piece together many issues to dissolve the party. Therefore, it is the duty of each party to explain. -317 – Thai News Agency
