Director of Epidemiology and Emergency Response Group, Disease Control Office 9, Nakhon Ratchasima, reported the epidemiological situation of hand, foot and mouth disease that from January 7, 2024 to June 29, 2024, there were a total of 1,714 patients with no deaths. And in the past week, there were 88 more patients. The trend of the outbreak is increasing as the rainy season begins. Therefore, the public is warned that this disease can occur all year round. However, during the rainy season, the weather is humid and children gather to do activities at school, which increases the risk of the outbreak. Parents must screen their children for symptoms before they go to school. If children are found to be unwell, have a fever, or have mouth sores, they should be taken to see a doctor immediately. Children should wash their hands frequently both before and after eating.
