Bangkok: Lawyer Saiyut expects Way Thaitanium to meet with police this afternoon. Lawyer Sawat revealed that officers have not yet summoned Khaophot to provide further information.
According to Thai News Agency, in the case of the famous host and DJ Nana Raibeena, who was arrested by police at her residence in the Ekkamai area on charges of fraud and the Royal Decree on Loans, which is considered defrauding the public, on the morning of December 3, 2015, the court granted bail on the evening of December 4, 2015, using a 1 million baht surety with conditions.
Meanwhile, Way Parinya, or Way Thaitanium, Nana’s husband, is also involved in the items seized from his residence, particularly financial documents and a hardware wallet, which stores keys to digital assets. A victim has also filed a fraud complaint against Way, claiming she was tricked into investing in stocks, resulting in a loss of over 50 million baht. In the first case, Way has yet to provide any clarification. His lawyer, Saiyut, stated that there was only a small amount of Japanese currency, equivalent to approximately 100,000 baht. In the second case, Way, through his personal lawyer, Saiyut, clarified that he never invited anyone to invest, but has yet to provide any direct clarification from him.
This morning at the Central Investigation Bureau, news broke that Way Pariya will be giving a statement to officials. Meanwhile, a large number of members of the media have arrived to cover the news, but so far, there have been no further developments. Initially, Saiyut, Way and Nana’s personal lawyer, revealed via telephone to the news team that Way has an appointment with his lawyer at 1:30 PM, at which time he is expected to meet with the police. The lawyer will be the one to give interviews to the media before meeting with the officials.
Meanwhile, lawyer Sawat, a lawyer for Khaophot, one of the victims in the Nana case, revealed that Khaophot has not yet arrived at the Central Investigation Bureau today, as all evidence has already been submitted to the authorities. Authorities have not yet summoned Khaophot to provide information or request any additional evidence at this time. At 11:00 a.m. today, police will hold a meeting to discuss further investigation into Nana’s case.
