BANGKOK, Aug. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire-iReach/ — Visiting Google!
The June 26 trip to the Google Thailand office gave Webster University students from Thailand campus a unique insight into the multinational tech company’s marketing tools. The once-in-a-lifetime experience was hosted by Google AdWords Expert Kade Visessuvanapoom alongside Product Marketing Manager Saranee (Ning) Boonritthongchai who highlighted what a fantastic real-world experience the competition offers as she encouraged future Webster students to get involved in next year’s Google marketing challenge.
“I think not a lot of people who graduate from university have the same experience as joining this type of challenge. I think it is going to be such a valuable proposition for you. We encourage students to join the Google Online Marketing Challenge 2016. I’m sure you’re going to have a lot of fun and it’s going to be a great experience.”
Go Webster Thailand Go…Google!
Dynamic Webster Thailand teams began in January with a USD 250 budget from Google and the challenge of coming up with a Google AdWords campaign strategy to market a local tour company’s packages to English speaking tourists and expats. The marketing dynamos included Webster MBA student Saikat Basu along with Meghna Rana; Jemima Sudarshan; Sumendra Singh; Jetaban Gogoi; and Sak McDonough, an MA Media Communications student who was glad to have taken part in the competition and especially the day visit to the Google offices.
“We learned more about adverts which I though was quite challenging and you really need a passion for it, but at the same time I actually took a lot from it. I totally enjoyed the visit provided by Webster.”
Students were taught how to utilize Google AdWords as a valuable marketing tool, present their strategy to real business owners and to learn from the Google experts themselves! With students from different courses and nationalities, the focus is also on working as a team; working with people with different skillsets and approaches. At Webster Thailand over 50 different nationalities come together to create a truly diverse environment that is a catalyst for learning and prepares students for the world of work.
