Woman Alleges Drugging with Date Rape Drug via Water Gun in RCA Area

Bangkok: A woman has reported to the police that she believes she was drugged with a date rape drug delivered through a water gun at an entertainment venue in the RCA area during the Songkran festival on April 11th. She presented test results to support her claim but emphasized that her conclusion is only a personal assumption.

According to Thai News Agency, the woman informed investigators at Makkasan Police Station about the incident. She underwent a test for the date rape drug GHB at Bangkok Hospital, which confirmed the presence of the substance in her body. She is now waiting for additional test results from the Police Hospital and has already provided this information to the authorities. She clarified that her suspicion of being drugged via a water gun is merely hypothetical, stressing that it is up to the police to establish the facts.

The woman encouraged others who might have witnessed similar incidents or have evidence to report it to Makkasan Police Station. She is confident that none of her friends, who were with her at the time, were involved, as they have no history of drug use.

Pol. Col. Uramphon Khundechsamrit, Superintendent of Makkasan Police Station, stated that the investigation is ongoing. The police have reached out to the entertainment venue to obtain CCTV footage that might serve as evidence in the case.
