Yotchanan Instructs University to Address Local Government Exam Issues

Bangkok: Yotchanan has called on Srinakharinwirot University to address concerns surrounding the organization of local government examinations. The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Yotsanu Wongsawat, emphasized the importance of transparency and openness in the process.

According to Thai News Agency, Yotsanu Wongsawat has directed the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, Supachai Pathumnakul, to engage in discussions with the university's administrators. The goal is to clarify the university's contract with the Department of Local Administration for conducting civil service examinations. Yotsanu expects the university to release a statement that will clarify the examination process and confirm its transparency, ensuring that all parties involved are duly informed.

Yotsanu also addressed the university's intention to form a committee to investigate the matter, noting that a timeframe for the investigation has not yet been specified. He mentioned plans to further discuss the issue with the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry to ensure a timely resolution.
