Yotsanan Concludes Campaign in Chiang Rai, Urges Election of Northerner as Prime Minister

Chiang rai: Yotsanan Wongsawat wrapped up his campaign in Chiang Rai, marking the end of a tour across seven northern provinces. He urged voters to support both him and his party, advocating for the election of a northerner as Prime Minister.

According to Thai News Agency, Yotsanan, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, spent the final day of his campaign visiting Nan, Phrae, Uttaradit, Lampang, Chiang Mai, Phayao, and Chiang Rai. In Chiang Rai, he held rallies at three locations, starting with Phan District to support Ms. Wisaradee Techateerawat, a candidate for Member of Parliament in Constituency 4.

Upon his arrival, Yotsanan was warmly received by a large crowd who offered him traditional gifts such as red roses, marigold garlands, and local appetizers. During his speech, Yotsanan emphasized his commitment to turning the dreams and hopes of the northern people into reality, highlighting the need for unity and solidarity. He promised to address issues like debt elimination and land problems, along with developing infrastructure to boost tourism.

Yotsanan then traveled to Mae Suai District, supporting candidate Wisarn Techateerawat for Constituency 3. He expressed his admiration for Wisarn's dedication and urged voters to consider the future and choose a party that understands their needs.

Later, at the Chiang Rai International Convention and Exhibition Center, Yotsanan noted his connection to the region and questioned the feasibility of electing a Prime Minister from the North. He stressed the importance of sustainable water management and environmental protection to enhance the quality of life in Chiang Rai.

Meanwhile, Nattawut Saikua, a campaign assistant for the Pheu Thai Party, addressed the audience at the same venue. He criticized Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, for divisive campaign rhetoric and defended his own reputation against accusations related to past protests. Nattawut emphasized the need for an entertaining yet factual political discourse, reaffirming his commitment to justice and transparency.
