Ayutthaya: "Yotchanan" and the Pheu Thai team campaigned in Ayutthaya, listening to the problems of farmers and agriculturalists. Mr. Yotsanu Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, along with Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat, the party leader, Mr. Anucha Nakasai, and Mr. Wisut Chainarun, visited Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya, Nonthaburi, and Pathum Thani provinces to support Pheu Thai Party candidates for Member of Parliament. They engaged directly with farmers and agricultural workers at Charoensap Phumphoon Restaurant in Lat Bua Luang District, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya Province.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Yotsanan and his team inspected rice fields and seeds before interacting with the local community. They received a warm welcome, with residents offering red roses and garlands of marigolds. Mr. Yotsanan emphasized the Pheu Thai Party's commitment to developing policies for equality, addressing issues like seeds, floods, and agricultural product prices with a guaranteed 30% profit margin. He also reiterated the party's dedication to continuing the 30-baht universal healthcare program and supporting educational opportunities for Thai children.
Mr. Yotsanan announced a major rally scheduled for January 8th, urging voters to support the Pheu Thai Party in the upcoming elections on February 8th by voting for Pheu Thai with both the party and candidate numbers.
Mr. Chulaphan highlighted the party's policies, particularly in the central region, aiming to raise the price of jasmine rice to 15,000 baht per ton and white rice to 10,000 baht per ton. The party seeks to ensure a 30% profit on agricultural products and make agricultural machinery more accessible through programs like fertilizer and seed coupons. Debt relief policies are also being advanced to address farmers' debt challenges.
Farmers' representatives expressed their concerns about high fuel prices and the complexity of switching to electricity. They requested assistance with water management and support for baling machines and rice harvesting equipment. Additional requests included development of the 30-baht universal healthcare program, medical equipment for public hospitals, village fund project development, and an increase in the elderly allowance to 3,000 baht per month.
