KRP Entertainment's Facebook page has announced the passing of Mac - Rachata Trilokvichai, a talented actor who previously showcased his skills in the dramas "Leud Kaki" and "Mongkut Kam" on Channel 8. According to Thai News Agency, Mac's cause of death was terminal Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumor (GIST), a very rare soft tissue tumor of the digestive system, with a prevalence of only 10-15 cases per million people. This disease often does not respond to conventional chemotherapy, requiring targeted therapy. These drugs "block" the growth signals of specific cancer cells, causing the tumor to shrink or stop growing. This significantly improves the patient's quality of life and extends their lifespan, even in advanced stages, making it a model for precision medicine. Back in 2015, Mac Rachata opened u p on the TV program "Living to Forget Illness," sharing his experience battling GIST, a rare type of soft tissue cancer in the digestive system. He used his story as an example and inspiration for other patients, emphasizing that even those who take good care of their health, eat nutritious food, and exercise regularly are at risk. Mac discovered he had stage 4 cancer, despite being someone who was very health-conscious. The family has announced the schedule for the funeral rites and cremation of Mac Rachata at the crematorium of Wat Samakkee, Mittraphap Road, Nai Mueang Subdistrict, Mueang District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The schedule is as follows: Sunday, February 22, 2026, 4:00 PM for the funeral rites, followed by Buddhist chanting at 4:30 PM, and on Monday, February 23 - Tuesday, February 24, 2026, funeral rites will be held at 6:00 PM each day.
