Kuala lumpur: A 40mm grenade landed near the 2nd Army Area base, but all personnel are safe.

According to Thai News Agency, the 2nd Army Area reported that the grenade incident occurred at 10:18 AM on February 5, 2026. The projectile, fired by the opposing side, landed on the right flank of the Thai operational base at Phlaen Hin Paet Kon.

Initial investigations indicated that there was no damage to personnel or equipment, ensuring the safety of all individuals at the base. In response to the incident, relevant units have heightened security measures and are maintaining close surveillance of the area to address any potential threats.
