Bangkok: Academics point out that "technocrats" are elevating the Bhumjaithai Party, signaling that the party is ready to govern the country.

According to Thai News Agency, Assistant Professor Chetha Sapyean, a lecturer in the Department of Urban Administration and Management at Navamintrathirat Open University, commented on the political direction before the upcoming election. He noted that many political parties are beginning to employ strategies that involve bringing in personnel from outside the political sphere to enhance their image of expertise and professionalism in national administration.

Associate Professor Chetha stated that while many political parties traditionally rely on political specialists, the Bhumjaithai Party has made a notable shift in its image. Previously perceived as a regional-focused party, it now prioritizes the quality of its national administration team, demonstrating a move towards a more professional and structured management approach.

Academics believe that the introduction of technocrats into the Bhumjaithai Party has garnered attention within the political community. These individuals have assumed political positions and demonstrated significant achievements, transforming the party's image from a provincial entity to one with a professional management team.

Associate Professor Chetha highlighted the inclusion of three technocrats-Supajee Suthamphan, Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, and Sihasak Phuangketkaew-into the party. This reflects a significant restructuring of the country's administration. Amidst political competition, the Bhumjaithai Party signals its readiness through its strong administrative team.

In the economic realm, Ms. Supajee Suthamphan brings international private sector management experience, enhancing communication with foreign investors and boosting the government's global credibility. In the fiscal dimension, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas offers expertise in tax systems and budgets, crucial for long-term economic stability. In diplomacy, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkaew strengthens Thailand's foreign policy stance amidst complex geopolitical dynamics.
