Bangkok: The Government Savings Bank (GSB) is extending a financial gesture to its disciplined borrowers as part of its New Year's celebration initiative. Borrowers who have consistently maintained a good payment history are set to receive a gift of 1,000 baht, highlighting the bank's commitment to fostering good financial habits among its clientele.
According to Thai News Agency, the initiative is part of the "Good Repayment, Good Savings" project, designed to reward customers with loan amounts not exceeding 200,000 baht. Eligible borrowers must have maintained a solid repayment record for at least three consecutive years, avoided debt restructuring or write-offs, and ensured their accounts are in good standing with no overdue payments exceeding 30 days.
The 1,000 baht gift is slated to be transferred to eligible customers' accounts by February 2026, provided they possess a savings account in their name. The offer excludes accounts set up for minors or joint accounts and requires claimants to register through the MyMo application by January 31, 2026. This initiative aims to motivate borrowers to maintain their financial discipline and provide additional capital for their businesses or personal use during the New Year festivities.
