Chiang mai: Bus Kanungnij shared her experience of her two children developing hand, foot, and mouth disease after playing at a kids club at a hotel in the provinces.

According to Thai News Agency, having been a mother for almost three years, actress and host Rotmai Kanungnij had never encountered anything like this before. She shared that her children, Kit and Nit, contracted hand, foot, and mouth disease after a family trip to Chiang Mai. Rotmai suspects that the kids club at one of the hotels they stayed at was the source of the infection. She emphasized that if such facilities are not properly maintained, they should not be operational.

Rotmai recounted that her family spent five days in Chiang Mai, staying at two different hotels to provide a variety of activities for her children. The second hotel featured a kids club where Kit and Nit enjoyed themselves. However, upon returning to Bangkok, Nit developed a high fever followed by red spots on her feet, and later, bumps on her legs with increased drooling. A doctor’s consultation confirmed the diagnosis of hand, foot, and mouth disease. Although Nit’s symptoms were more pronounced, Kit also showed signs of the illness. Despite the initial discomfort, both children have remained in good spirits.
