Pattaya: Police are further questioning the suspect in the brutal murder of an LGBTQ+ woman in an apartment in Central Pattaya, and are sending the body for a detailed autopsy to determine the cause of death. This afternoon, the suspect will be taken to the Pattaya Provincial Court for detention.
According to Thai News Agency, investigators further questioned Mr. Tong Yuan, the suspect in the brutal murder of Mr. Woranan, also known as Nong Note, inside an apartment in the Central Pattaya area. Authorities also interviewed the father of the deceased. The Director of the Chonburi Provincial Justice Office announced that compensation for the victims of crimes would be approximately 200,000 baht.
Investigators have sent Nong Note’s body to the Police General Hospital’s Institute of Forensic Medicine for a detailed examination to determine the cause of death. DNA has been collected from his fingernails, as there was evidence of a struggle with the suspect. Authorities are also seeking to establish whether the incision on his stomach occurred before or after death. This afternoon, Mr. Tong Yuan will be taken to the Pattaya Provincial Court for detention.
