Bangkok: Deputy government spokesperson reiterated that advance voting registration is open until January 5, 2026. The general election is scheduled for February 8, 2026, but eligible voters unable to attend on that day have the option to register for advance voting.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, stated there are only 37 days left until the election for the House of Representatives. The Election Commission has set advance voting for February 1, 2026, to accommodate voters unable to vote on election day in their hometowns.
The deputy spokesperson explained that registration for advance voting began on December 20, 2025, and will end on January 5, 2026. Eligible voters can register within their electoral district, outside of it, or overseas. The online system, available 24 hours a day, offers a convenient registration process.
Voters interested in advance voting can find details and register through the Bureau of Registration Administration's website at https://boraservices.bora.dopa.go.th/election/. The website provides options for registering outside their electoral district or outside Thailand.
The deputy spokesperson emphasized that advance registration is a crucial right for eligible voters who may be away from their registered address on election day due to reasons such as studying, working, or living abroad. This registration allows them to exercise their voting rights conveniently and fully before the official election day, supporting the democratic process.
