Doha: Al Hilal from Saudi Arabia won their fourth consecutive match in the AFC Champions League Elite West Zone, defeating Al Gharafa from Qatar 2-1. This victory solidifies Al Hilal’s position as the group leader with a total of 12 points.
According to Thai News Agency, Al Hilal’s dominance was evident early in the game when Salem Al Dawsari scored with a header in the 9th minute, giving the Saudi team a 1-0 lead. The visitors extended their advantage in the 66th minute with a long-range shot from Caio Cesar, making it 2-0. Although Al Gharafa’s Ayoub Al Ouy managed to score in the 90+8 minute of injury time, it was not enough to prevent Al Hilal from securing their fourth win in a row. Al Gharafa remains at 9th place in the group with 3 points.
In another match within the same zone, Nasaf from Uzbekistan faced Al Wahda from the United Arab Emirates. Nasaf took an early lead with a goal from Sardorbek Bakhromov in the 42nd minute. However, Al Wahda equalized in the second half with a goal from Fawr Okbu in the 52nd minute and secured a victory with a late goal from Caio Canedo in the 89th minute.
