All SEA Games Venues Ready and Open for Fans, Confirms SAT Governor

Bangkok: All SEA Games stadiums are up to standard and ready for competition and welcoming sports fans. Dr. Kongsak confirmed that all SEA Games venues are up to standard and ready for competition and welcoming fans. He has partnered with the Ministry of Commerce to organize the “Try, Shop, Cheer” event, showcasing local food and products to ASEAN audiences.

According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), revealed that although the 33rd SEA Games is officially scheduled to take place from December 9-20, 2025, many sports will begin competing in advance, starting on December 3, 2025, to avoid overcrowding the competition schedule. This has gradually led to a livelier atmosphere.

“Based on a survey of the readiness of various stadiums in Bangkok, Chonburi, and other smaller stadiums in other provinces, the stadiums in Bangkok and Chonburi accommodated the relocation from Songkhla Province, which was also affected by flooding. All stadiums are considered up to standard and ready for competition and welcoming sports fans. Most recently, at Hua Mak Stadium, such as Rajamangala National Stadium, which was used for the opening ceremony and football matches, is 100 percent operational. The swimming pool and other equipment are also ready. The same applies to the Hua Mak Indoor Stadium, and other stadiums, including extreme sports such as shooting, archery, and rock climbing, are also fully operational,” said Dr. Kongsak.

The SAT Governor further stated that the SAT has also partnered with the Ministry of Commerce to launch the “Eat, Shop, Cheer” project, which brings together renowned products from every province in the country to host the competition. This project serves the public who come to watch the games at every stadium. This initiative aims to support OTOP (One Top Brand Product) and various local products, including food and supplies. All vendors are selected by the Ministry of Commerce for quality.

“We have a large number of participating businesses. In the area around the Indoor Stadium within the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT) Huamark alone, there are already over 30 shops. We are also participating in the event in Chonburi Province and other SEA Games co-hosting provinces, such as Pathum Thani, Ratchaburi, and Nakhon Pathom. We will be showcasing local specialties to ASEAN audiences. This will help stimulate the economy and support businesses during the SEA Games and the 13th ASEAN Para Games, which will take place from January 20-26, 2026,” said Dr. Kongsak.
