Udon Thani: A truck carrying ammonia suffered brake failure and crashed at the intersection of Ban Dung and Ban Nong Mek districts, Udon Thani province, damaging three vehicles and injuring two people. According to Thai News Agency, CCTV footage captured the sequence of events, showing a pickup truck parked on the side of the road before swerving and colliding with another car in the intersection, affecting a total of two cars. The truck also hit a motorcycle parked nearby and another pickup truck waiting to turn, resulting in the injuries and damage.
The incident took place near Ban Na Chan School at the Ban Dung District – Ban Nong Mek Road, km. 6-7, Phon Sung Subdistrict. The Ban Dung Highway Police rescue team responded swiftly, transporting the injured to Ban Dung Somdej Phra Yupparat Hospital. At the scene, a white Mitsubishi pickup truck, a black Toyota Revo, and a silver Toyota Vigo were among the damaged vehicles, with the ammonia truck crashing into and demolishing a roadside pavilion.

river explained that as he was driving from Ban Dung District and approached the four-way intersection, his brakes unexpectedly failed. In an attempt to mitigate the situation, he sounded his horn loudly and attempted to turn left. However, he was unable to avoid two other pickup trucks parked at the roadside, leading to a collision. To prevent further damage, he swerved to avoid a motorcycle in his path but ended up hitting another pickup truck in the middle of the road, which caused his vehicle to spin and crash into a roadside pavilion. Despite the severity of the accident, there were no fatalities reported.
