Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, leader of the Bhumjaithai Party and the current Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, has expressed his anticipation regarding the potential movement of Varawut Silpa-archa, leader of the Chartthaipattana Party, into the Bhumjaithai Party. This development comes amid ongoing preparations for the upcoming election, which were discussed at the Bhumjaithai Party’s 1st Extraordinary General Meeting of 2025.

According to Thai News Agency, the meeting focused on establishing various committees such as the Candidate Selection Committee, Policy Committee, and Strategy Committee, which are expected to play a crucial role in the election preparations. The spotlight, however, remains on Varawut Silpa-archa, who is reportedly considering joining the Bhumjaithai Party along with key figures Mr. Samokan Thiangtham, Mr. Panuwat Sasomsap, and Mr. Anurak Chureemas.

Before the meeting, Anutin Charnvirakul was questioned by reporters about Varawut’s potential introduction to the Bhumjaithai Party. Anutin’s response was succinct as he stated, “We’ll wait and see,” before proceeding to the meeting, indicating a cautious yet open stance on the matter.

Additionally, it has been reported that Mr. Sonthaya Khunpluem, a prominent figure in the Chonburi Big House group, and Mr. Piya Pitutecha, president of the Rayong Provincial Administrative Organization, are also expected to join the Bhumjaithai Party.
