Bangkok: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, who also serves as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, addressed inquiries from the media about the ongoing discussions to form a government with the Kla Tham Party. He stated that they are currently waiting for certification from the Election Commission, emphasizing that this step is crucial before any official announcements can be made.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin has not commented on the potential inclusion of the Kla Tham Party in the government, nor did he provide clarity on whether Captain Thamanat Phromphao, the party's chief advisor, would be excluded from the coalition. Anutin remains tight-lipped, maintaining that they are in a holding pattern until the Election Commission issues the necessary certification.
In a separate discussion, Anutin addressed the activities of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), which is collecting Laser IDs. He assured that all actions are being conducted in compliance with the law and under the supervision of the Ministry of Interior.
Anutin also refrained from commenting on a statement made by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet in a foreign media interview, where accusations were made regarding Thailand's alleged encroachment on Cambodian territory.
