Anutin Charnvirakul Leads Merit-Making Ceremony for ISOC’s 18th Anniversary

Bangkok: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the 18th anniversary celebration of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC). Also present at the event were Minister of Justice Pol. Gen. Ruddhaphol Naowarat, Deputy Minister of Defence Lt. Gen. Adul Boonthamcharoen, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army Gen. Phana Klaewplodthuk, and Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army Gen. Chaiyapruk Duangprapat. Upon his arrival, Anutin paid respects at the Shrine of Thao Suthep Theparak and the Shrine of Thao Kuvethirat, which are believed to bring peace and prosperity. He then proceeded to Phra Tamnak Phetcharat to pay respects to Her Royal Highness Princess Phetcharat Rajsuda Sirisobhaphanawadi before participating in a Buddhist ceremony at the Ruenruedi Building.

According to Thai News Agency, the ISOC was established under the Internal Security Act of 2008 and serves as the main organization for managing operations to prevent and resolve internal security issues in Thailand. The command aims to ensure public order and national security. Over the past 18 years, ISOC has collaborated with both government and private sector agencies to address various threats and strengthen national security, maintaining a democratic system with the King as Head of State.
