Bangkok: Anutin vows “Thai land must not be lost” and is moving forward with negotiations with the Joint Commission (JBC) to resolve the Prasat Ta Kwai issue. He believes influencers can demonstrate patriotism and reclaim the land, but must not violate the law.
According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul addressed the issue of Prasat Ta Kwai in Phanom Dong Rak District, Surin Province, and asked how to confirm that it is Thailand. He said that discussions will continue with the Thailand-Cambodia Joint Boundary Commission (JBC), with the issue being gradually resolved one by one. He added that a team will be deployed to discuss the JBC.
As for how to reach an understanding with influencers who will be organizing the event to reclaim Prasat Ta Kwai, the Prime Minister said that everyone has the right to express patriotism, but we must not violate Thai and international laws.
As for whether there has been any discussion with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen regarding the Ban Nong Chan area in Sa Kaeo Province, the Prime Minister stated that this matter falls under condition number 4, which requires a clear discussion. We say it’s our area, and they say it’s theirs. Therefore, we must discuss it. We have a team of experts and technological evidence to prove it, so we must leave it to the JBC negotiating team. We cannot interfere.
The Prime Minister emphasized that he has clearly stated his policy that Thailand must be protected above all else.
