Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, recently expressed his admiration for Julaphan Amornvivat, leader of the Pheu Thai Party, during a press conference. Upon seeing Amornvivat donning a blue t-shirt and light blue suit, Anutin exclaimed "Wow!" and remarked on Julaphan's transformation, noting, "He's not timid or childish anymore!" Despite speculation about potential political collaboration, Anutin remained non-committal, suggesting that future discussions could focus on working together for the nation's benefit.
According to Thai News Agency, Anutin's comments came after observing Julaphan Amornvivat's attire at the event, where a backdrop with a shift from the usual red tones to blue was also noted. Anutin, visibly impressed, asked reporters to show him the image again, emphasizing Amornvivat's newfound confidence and charm. When asked about possible government collaboration, Anutin denied any current implications but acknowledged their cordial relationship.
Anutin elaborated on their camaraderie, asserting that while they might refer to him as "Nong Nu" on stage, in private they address him as "Pee Nong." He expressed confidence that future meetings would be productive, focusing on national interests rather than past campaign tensions. Anutin reiterated that election-related friction is a normal part of the political process, dismissing any personal animosity.
Before leaving, reporters inquired about the appeal of Julaphan's blue attire. Anutin complimented the color and requested another look at the picture. In a light-hearted moment, Anutin sought the reporters' opinion on his own uniform, receiving a positive response about its handsome appearance.
