Anutin' is concerned about the general public after the Drug Board prepares to return 'cannabis-hemp' to the drug list. He revealed that the board's resolution is the same as when he was the Minister of Public Health. He asked for an explanation of the reasons. He said that the 'new minister' chose this path. The Bhumjaithai Party will not protest. He only asks that the people not be inconvenienced. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul gave an interview regarding the Narcotics Control Board of the Ministry of Public Health's resolution to propose to the ONCB to reinstate cannabis and hemp as narcotics, saying that the Bhumjaithai Party's position remains the same, which is to use them for medical and economic purposes, not for recreational purposes. However, Bhumjaithai believes that the introduction of flower buds and flowers as narcotics is a return to the old cycle. This resolution was made by the same committee that was in charge of the Public Health Minister, and at that t ime, there was a resolution to remove cannabis from the narcotics list. There are still questions about why this committee reinstated cannabis as narcotics, because the documents and information are from the old group. Mr. Anutin raised concerns that if cannabis is brought back to being a drug, will people who grow cannabis at the community level, if they accidentally have flower buds, be prosecuted? Also, in 2022, more than 8,000 people who committed cannabis offenses were released. Even if future laws are passed and applied retroactively, what will happen to those who have licenses to grow as community enterprises? Mr. Anutin reiterated that the possible impacts are the responsibility of the Ministry of Public Health, which must find a solution for the subgroup of people who will be affected by the reintroduction of cannabis as a narcotic. In addition, the Narcotics Control Board must come out to explain the reasons for reintroducing cannabis flowers and buds. And ask why there is no law on cannabis that is seriously enforced, there is a committee to study it and it is approved by the people because otherwise, it may happen that whoever is the Minister of Public Health will remove or add cannabis from the list of narcotics and it will be like this. Mr. Anutin concluded that this was just his opinion. When he was the Minister of Public Health, he followed the policies that he had given to the people. This is a new policy. The new minister chose this path. Bhumjaithai did not protest anything, but it has its own position. It does not want to cause trouble to the people and is ready to cooperate if there is a reason.
