Anutin Remains Silent on Rumored Defense Minister Appointments

Bangkok: Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul declined to comment on the possibility of appointing "Big Daeng" and "Big Dong" as Minister of Defense.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin chose not to address speculation regarding the selection of General Apirat Kongsompong, known as "Big Daeng," and General Prawit Wongsuwan, referred to as "Big Dong," for the position of Minister of Defense. When questioned about the potential appointment of former Army Chief General Apirat Kongsompong as Minister of Defence, Anutin responded only with a smile.

Further inquiries into whether the name starting with "D" might refer to former Deputy Minister of Defence General Udomdej Sitabutr were also met with silence from the Prime Minister. Anutin's reluctance to provide comments has fueled further curiosity about the potential candidates for the high-profile defense ministry position.
