Anutin’s New Year Gesture and Border Visit Plans

Bangkok: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, extended a "plus" gesture to the media as a New Year greeting, announcing plans to visit the border before an afternoon flight on a national security mission.

According to Thai News Agency, Anutin, who also serves as the leader of the Bhumjaithai Party, made the gesture following a cabinet meeting at the Government House. The "plus" sign, a symbol from his party's election campaign, was accompanied by his verbal wish of "Happy New Year" to the assembled press.

In response to reporters' inquiries about his New Year's travel plans, Anutin stated that he would not be going anywhere for leisure but would instead be visiting soldiers stationed at the border. Later in the day, he is scheduled to participate in the "Heart with Wings" mission in Udon Thani province, emphasizing his commitment to national security and support for military personnel.
