Singapore: Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, is set to visit Singapore on November 7, 2025, to celebrate 60 years of diplomatic relations and enhance cooperation in economic, digital, and public health fields. The visit comes at the invitation of Singapore’s Prime Minister, Lawrence Wong, and will include participation in the SET Government Roadshow 2025.
According to Thai News Agency, this trip represents Anutin’s fourth international visit and holds special significance as it reciprocates the visit of Singapore’s Prime Minister to Thailand in November 2014. The visit aims to strengthen bilateral relations and facilitate cooperation in key areas.
Mr. Siripong Angkasakulkiat, Government Spokesperson, outlined the itinerary, noting that Anutin will arrive at Changi International Airport on the morning of November 7. Following his arrival, an official welcome ceremony will take place, featuring the VIP Orchid Naming Ceremony at the Singapore Botanic Gardens, bilateral discussions, agreement exchanges, and a joint press conference with Singapore’s Prime Minister.
In the afternoon, Anutin will meet Singapore’s President and participate in the SET Government Roadshow 2025, where he will address investors and engage with the Thai community, including workers and students in Singapore, before returning to Thailand later that evening.
Mr. Siripong emphasized that the visit seeks to sustain the momentum of cooperation between Thailand and Singapore, building on discussions from the ASEAN Summit last October. Key topics such as food and energy security, digital and green economy development, public health cooperation, and combating transnational crime will be revisited.
Two significant cooperation documents are expected to be signed during the visit:
1. Memorandum of Understanding on Rice Trade to bolster food security.
2. Memorandum of Understanding between the Department of Health and Singapore Health Services to improve elderly care efficiency.
These agreements aim to promote progress in the economic and quality of life sectors for both nations. Mr. Siripong affirmed that Anutin is committed to advancing cooperation in economics, medicine, and food security, reinforcing the close relationship and partnership with Singapore within the ASEAN region. This visit coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties and provides a platform for future cooperation amidst regional and global economic changes.
