Thai-cambodian border: Commanders of the 2nd and 3rd Army Regions visited the Thai-Cambodian border to inspect troops supporting security missions and laid wreaths to commemorate heroes at Hill 350 and Ta Kwai Temple.
According to Thai News Agency, Lieutenant General Veerayut Rakasilp, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, along with Lieutenant General Worathep Boonyah, Commander of the 3rd Army Area, and other commanders, visited the Thai-Cambodian border to inspect and meet with personnel from the 3rd Army Area who were deployed to support the 2nd Army Area's mission in the border region. The visit included tours of Ta Muen Thom Temple, Ta Kwai Temple, and Hill 350.
The purpose of this field visit was to monitor the situation, receive reports on operational results, and inspect personnel performing duties in the area. Commanders provided guidance on operational procedures, learned about problems and obstacles encountered in the area, and offered encouragement to personnel from the TMAC unit of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Command, who are jointly operating in the border area. Lieutenant General Worathep Boonyah, Commander of the 3rd Army Area, addressed the personnel, emphasizing the importance of their duties in the area to national security and urging all personnel to perform their duties with strength, readiness, and unwavering commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and security.
Following the inspection, Lieutenant General Veerayut Rakasilp, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, and Lieutenant General Worathep Boonyah, Commander of the 3rd Army Area, along with their commanding officers, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony, paid respects, and observed a moment of silence to commemorate the soldiers who died in the line of duty at the memorial site on Hill 350 and Ta Kwai Temple, in order to honor those who sacrificed themselves in protecting the nation's sovereignty.
This field visit is part of a mission to monitor and support the operations of personnel in the border area, aiming to boost morale, track the situation, and enhance readiness for ongoing security missions along the Thai-Cambodian border.
