Samut prakan: Authorities are preparing to open a vault containing over 800,000 answer sheets stored in a secure room at a printing plant in Samut Prakan province. These authentic documents are set to unravel the controversy surrounding alleged corruption in local government recruitment exams.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Netipol Chumyong, Director of the Investigation and Special Affairs Division of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), revealed after a meeting with Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) executives regarding the answer sheets for the local government examination that the SWU president stated that the sheets, numbering over 800,000, are stored in a secure room at the printing press in Samut Prakan province. He said he would retrieve the evidence, and the president agreed to provide all the answer sheets.
There are two keys to the vault. One key is kept by an officer at Srinakharinwirot University (SWU), and the other is held by the Department of Local Administration. Authorities have contacted both parties, and they will open the vault together. Once the answer sheets are retrieved, they will be compared with the altered exam papers to determine which are genuine and which are fake. The investigation will also seek to verify whether those who claimed to have passed the exam actually did. The truth is expected to be revealed soon.
