Chiang mai: The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives (BAAC) is presenting a range of deposit promotions and financial services at the 20th Money Expo Chiang Mai, targeting residents of the northern region.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Paisarn Hongthong, Deputy Managing Director of BAAC, announced that the bank is offering special deposit products like the Thongchompoo Nut Deposit, which requires a minimum deposit of 100,000 baht and a maximum of 100 million baht per account. The deposit promises an interest rate of 1.40% per annum, paid in advance, with a deposit period of 7 months. Additionally, customers depositing between 500,000 and 1,000,000 baht receive a complimentary dip in the Art Toy Mang Maew set, while deposits of 1,000,000 baht or more come with a complete set of 4 Art Toy Mang Maew.
Moreover, the Emerald Glass Deposit is available with a minimum deposit of 2,000 baht, offering accident insurance benefits of up to 25 times the remaining deposit balance, with a maximum coverage limit of 10 million baht. Customers depositing 20,000 baht or more and maintaining the balance for three months can avail of this benefit by applying for an insured debit card. Additionally, the BAAC savings bond, Khun Phaen Morakot set, offers opportunities to win big prizes monthly, with total prizes worth more than 72 million baht.
The bank also introduces life insurance deposit products, providing savings options with protection and tax deduction benefits. Special promotions include free gifts such as travel bags and mother-child travel bag sets. On the loan front, BAAC offers various products, including a 100,000 baht express loan for Village Health Volunteers, housing loans for government officials with a special interest rate of 2.99% per year for the first five years, and the Kasetvivat Loan for retired personnel interested in agriculture.
Further enhancing the expo experience, BAAC is showcasing over 70 premium agricultural products from its customer farmers. These include ready-to-eat rice from the Aun Im brand, rice seasoning powder from Wai Wan Community Enterprise, and Suan Pathumthip Jelly from Lamphun Province. Attendees can also explore the “Baacs Memories” wall, featuring a collection of rare BAAC savings banks from the past to the present. The event is being held at Chiang Mai Hall, 1st floor, Central Chiang Mai Airport, from November 7-9.
