Bent Kittithach Unveils New Single ‘Stray Dog’s True Love’ Featuring Benz Preecha

Bangkok: Bent Kittithach has released a new single titled "Ma Jor Rak Jing" (Stray Dog's True Love), marking a playful and fun addition to his musical repertoire. The song, which is not about being homeless, features the renowned singer Benz Preecha, known for his hit "Si Chat Bo Khue Kao," who brings the Isaan dialect to the track.

According to Thai News Agency, Bent Kittithach drew inspiration for "Stray Dog's True Love" from personal experiences. He explained that the song reflects his self-view as a stray dog, offering love and longing for it in return. The metaphor extends to a dog from northeastern Thailand, wandering in the city in search of sustenance, work, and affection, aspiring to be valued and loved. Bent likens his journey to working in Bangkok and his loyalty to those who have supported him.

The musical composition of "Stray Dog's True Love" incorporates folk sounds enriched with Isaan cultural elements. Bent collaborated with Benz Preecha for the Isaan lyrics and engaged Sander, a student of his mother, to play the khaen, a bamboo mouth organ pivotal to the song's arrangement. Junior-Phuritut and Mod maintained their roles in arranging and creating guitar parts, respectively.

In the accompanying music video, Bent Kittithach takes on the role of a dog displaying true affection for its owner. His nuanced performance involved embodying the canine's loyalty and love, even going so far as to eat dog food and mimic canine behaviors with extensive preparation.
